Autumn Weekend 22-24 September 2006
Hawse End Cottage - Derwentwater
This year’s hostel weekend was planned earlier in the season than previously when we hoped to enjoy the best of the weather.
Hawse End Cottage is situated on the banks of Derwentwater and it was be ours for two nights.
Cumbria Outdoors
This organization manages four residential educational sites including Hawse End Cottage. It is also responsible for the delivery of on and offsite and non-residential outdoor education and leads a number of youth development projects.
Cumbria Outdoors formed a partnership with YHA in September 2005 to enable groups, countrywide, to access two of its centre’s on a ‘hostel’ basis during periods when it’s not used for educational purposes.
