Castle Howard Christmas Meal Ramble

During the centenary year many of the walks carried out during the past 100 years were followed yet once again.Two members walked 100 miles from Grassington to Robin Hood's Bay during April joined in stages by other members and on the final day by many of the Club’s membership- (see photo's)

An evening ramble in June took us to the tiny St. Mary, Lead Church (often referred to as the Ramblers Church) in a field near Towton where the Dean of York joined us for a short service.

One walk in October was a fun day out when members walked in period dress.Also in October, the main formal event a Celebratory Dinner took place at the York Racecourse.
